Our vision is in progress. We are working towards articulating what Hope will look like for the next five years and beyond, and you’re invited to join the conversation.
As we work to articulate our vision, especially in this season of vacancy, we know that at it’s heart, our vision is that we might fully grow into our name, that we would know the living Hope that we have in Christ, and that through Him we might be Hope to the community of Islington in the following ways:
Bringing healing and wholeness to the people of our parish
Supporting the vulnerable, oppressed and voiceless in our midst
Providing safe and inclusive spaces for the diverse community that we are a part of
We believe that the atoning work of God in the world is fundamentally practical, and we long for the people of our parish to be reconnected to their Creator and the creation, to themselves and to others.
The goal of the Diocese of London in the next 10 years is for every Londoner to encounter the love of God in Christ. At Hope, we understand this encounter as one of wholeness, of healing, of balance, of rhythm, and of peace and, as we consider our part in fulfilling this goal, it is clear that our response needs to be as intensely practical, embodied, and human as the people that we aim to reach.
